Answers:
1-stands for "graphics interchange format"
2- An animated GIF is a graphic file type that is composed of many different images on top of each other. Together these images are compressed and work together, creating movement, and give the appearance of a mini movie.It does this by using a specific software, that speeds up the pictures to allow a movie type presentation.

Quite possibly the easiest animation program ever made! Just for fun, maybe on a rainy day. Includes a sample animation. Freeware.

This software has a 15 day free trial available, then it's $29.95. You also need to give them your email address to download the trial version.
